This week was both World Environment Day and World Ocean Day so we thought what better way to make a difference to our environment and oceans than to organise a litter pick. PAWS is currently working towards our Plastic Free Nursery award, an accreditation organised by the charity Surfers Against Sewage. As part of this accreditation we have been learning about Barney the turtle and how plastic pollution in our oceans is having such harmful effects on marine life like Barney.
